Spotlight on Super Star Designer Kelly Wearstler!
Since achieving her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art, Kelly Wearstler has put her stamp on anything from textiles to tea cups. She has risen to fame by creating luxurious interiors from her office in Los Angeles, California. Her clients include famous brand named hotels like the Viceroy in Palm Springs, Miami, Santa Monica, Anguilla and The Tides at Miami Beach. She has also re-designed The Avalon and Maison 140 both in Beverly Hills, CA where she now resides herself. We celebrate her work below with a collection of images from her commercial and residential projects.

As well as designing famous resorts and hotels in the USA and Caribbean she has worked for some high profile celebrities, turning their homes into unique luxury living. Her work is renowned throughout the world and she is constantly profiled in the world of fashion and interior magazines like Marie Claire and Elle Decoration.

Kelly is an award winning interior designer who also has several product lines in her name, her debut monograph was an L.A Times best seller, she was a judge on the interior design show ‘Top Design’ and contributes to magazines like Harpers Bazar and Elle. She is highly respected among professionals in the industry and has also become a style icon herself by winning the best dressed female from Vogue.

Kelly went all out on color and glamor for the Viceroy in downtown Miami. Her ideas were clearly aimed at the wealthy business and leisure travelers who will be charmed by this enchanting interior design.

A down town delight!
Kelly successfully blended sophistication with fun in the Santa Monica Viceroy hotel. The striking color scheme was inspired by the local amusement park.
Mixing fun with sophistication!
The viceroy Palm Springs is an intimate resort with a striking color palette of black and white with bold splashes of yellow against traditional sillouette shapes.
Combining classic shapes with bold colors!
The Viceroy Aguilla is a private seafront resort in the Carribbean mixing modern architecture with the natural surroundings. The contrast is chic and very dramatic with lots of deep texture.

The infamous Tides on Ocean Drive, South Beach, Miami is an art deco haven. This dramatic design was influenced by the ocean, the colors of Miami sunsets and rich textures. Kelly mixed old with new by adding some vintage items to create a unique finish.
Hints of the past adorn this chic hotel!
Kelly re-designed Maison 140 in Beverly Hills and gave it a fresh makeover using warm colors like kumquat and persimmon. She was inspired by the 19th century Belle Epoque era (The Beautiful era) and so gave the design a slight bohemian feel.

The Avalon Boutique Hotel, Beverly Hills is a luxury hideaway with Italian design influences!
The BG restaurant on the 7th floor of the exclusive store Bergdorf Goodman was also kelly’s work. Her design works perfectly for the Chanel dressed ladies who lunch and the sharp suited business men that frequent here. Bergdorf Goodman also house the Kelly Wearstler boutique selling her home products and now her new fashion range.

There is no stopping this passionate designer, what will she turn her designer brain to next? Quite hard to believe she posed in Play Boy to start funding her own business.
