I recently came across a different type of composting bin. Its called the Compost Sak . Made of a porous, breathable fabric, its lightweight and makes up to 12 cubic feet of compost. It appealed to me because, well, it seems so easy to use.
At 30 inches wide and 38 inches tall, the capacity is a little over 100 gallons. It works just the same as a regular compost bin and can be used to make compost from kitchen scraps, leaves, grass clippings, and everything else youd throw into the compost pile. And, when the compost is done you can just roll the bag over to the garden!
One of the advantages of the Compost Sak is that, because it is made from fabric, theres more aeration going on. That means the decomposition is faster. Its also less expensive than most compost bins that you buy and of course, less hassle than making your own out of chicken wire.
