Innovative Ferrari bike designs to enhance your biking experience
Ferrari V4 Superbike
The image of the prancing horse striding magnificently down the race circuit is enough to register that one name in our minds that has ruled the race track for years- Ferrari! For many fans across the globe, Ferrari is a religion which crafts perfectly chiseled chariots. The perfectly divine silhouettes are all four-wheeled. But what if we let our imaginations run a little wild and visualize a two-wheeled vehicle holding the coveted Ferrari emblem? The fact doesn’t really mean that Ferrari has laid down the arms and is planning to move to the land of two-wheelers. It simply means that someday it may plan to spread its reign further to the lands untouched by its ambitious hands. For those of you who are still finding it difficult to envision what we mean to say, let us put it simply. Ferrari, the famous car manufacturer may soon get ready to step into the bike world. And up ahead are some groundbreaking superbike concepts. Let’s have a look.
Ferrari V4 Superbike Concept
The slickest of all, this bike draws inspiration from the vintage V12 Enzo engine. Also inspired are the handles whose inspiration has been drawn from F-16 fighter jet. The fuel tank displays an all weather LCD panel. The framework is sleek and designed keeping in mind the usual Ferrari elegance. Going by the designs, all one can say is even if it is not adopted by the Ferrari master minds, you may very soon see it rolling down the roads for some action-packed flick. The slickest of all, this bike draws inspiration from the vintage V12 Enzo engine. Stallion-esque Ferrari FXF Racer
The bike designed while keeping contemporary trends and styles in mind is high on aerodynamics control. A mid-body seat gives the rider full control over this machine. Giving the bike x-y functionality are handlebars connected to an intricate hydraulic system. It boasts of a 2000 cc gas/electric hybrid engine made out of a light steel compound. To reduce drag and maximize on-track performance, the tires have been integrated into (Frank Gehry’s soft car concept) design.
Ferrari FXX Bike
The inspiration drawn by its designer finds its root in a Yamaha Marco Milandri Spider bike. He worked on the (what seemed possible to him, no matter how unlikely it is) idea of Yamaha and Ferrari coming together to craft a bike. The rear is stretched and front forks lowered to give it an aggressive look. The back of the wheel and the engine is where the Ferrari logo is put. For a complete Ferrari experience, a white line running on the top gives it the much required sporty look.
Custom Ferrari Chopper
an inline-four yanked from a inline-triple from Triumph while the other one uses Yamaha R1.Imagine a chopper inspired Ferrari, tearing down the roads in full aggression. Not exactly the Ferrari types? Well, one designer too all the liberty in the world to come up with one such unique concept (which would have been much suited for Harley Davidson). A stretched out, chopper style bicycle with an absence of speedometer got us curious. As a matter of fact, two such bikes have been made. One power-driven by an inline-4 pulled off from a Yamaha R1 and the other by an inline-triple from Triumph.
1995 Ferrari motorbike
What will you expect out of a Ferrari superbike? I am sure more than style it would be true sporting capabilities with awesome aerodynamics. If it is a Ferrari, it has to be sporty. One such Ferrari concept bike made in 1995 (bearing an official Ferrari chassis no SF-01M), is just perfect to be called as an epitome of the Ferrari marvel. The bike sporting a DOHC engine which displaces 900cc, churns out 105 horsepower at 8,800 rpm. Not bad considering its manufacturing year. Perfecting the cosmetic make-up are the testarossa-style strakes on either side.
